Kinda sucks hitting an unprecedented hiatus just after my one year mark. Didn’t realize I had too much on my plate (college stuff wise) when I did, plus the fact that my laptop wigged out on me kinda made it hard to manage both my school work and this blog. I guess it was a good thing I swore off the episodic posting for a while ’cause if I didn’t I’d be way way behind, lol. I do feel bad about going off the ani-blog radar these past few weeks though. Even writing this update feels a bit awkward when I haven’t logged in for almost a month now (I was afraid at how dusty my dashboard would be)
To my fellow ani-bloggers, do these “dry spells” ever happen to you too? How do you cope with it?
So yeah, just letting you guys know what’s up. Still have some academic stuff to cleave through but I’ll be back soon. ‘Till then ^_^
We made it guys. Leap250’s Blog is now officially a year old!
Now that’s something. I honestly really am surprised that I’ve kept doing this for over a year now. I remember the early moments of July last year when I decided to use my existing wordpress account to run an aniblog. It was a spur of the moment idea mostly. Looking back at it now.. I dunno. It just feels awesome.
Hey guys 😀
Just checking in to say “what’s up?” since it’s been, like, a week and a half since I last set foot in the ani-blogosphere (and it’s the week of first episodes too >.<). I’ve seen a couple of first episodes already but I haven’t really dropped by other blogs in really a while. Long story short; I got slammed with a term paper that was supposedly due earlier today and spent the entire week (or so, lol) working on it. The crappy part was that my professor didn’t even show up today. Yeah, still glad I got the work done though.
And the day wasn’t really that much of a bummer because…
My books arrived! Four light novel volumes of Spice and Wolf awesomeness, plus, as a bonus – volume one of the manga adaptation (which, by the way, has WAY too many full frontal shots of Holo). Expect me to write about ’em in the near future. And yeah, now that that suck-y paper is done, I should have my blogging time again (and I still need to close of Sankarea)
so, ’till then, how’s the Summer season been treating you guys so far?
Alas, here we are with my final update on my self-proposed Summer Checklist. Honestly, Summer just flew by in a flash (and there wasn’t even a moment where I forgot what day it was!) But as they say, time flies when you’re having fun.
And so, after two months, the results are in, and…*cue drumroll*
For a little over a week and a half (maybe two weeks tops) I’ll be doing some summer appropriate activities while visiting the ol’ province. I’m not too confident about Net connection and such at the place we’re gonna be staying at, so I won’t be able to accommodate Leap250’s Blog (plus, watching the current season shows, if I choose to do so, would be limited to just streaming). So yeah, I’ll just kick-back, grab some R&R, get tanner than I already am, possibly gain a few pounds, and have some fun with the family. I’ll still probably swing by other aniblogs though when I get the chance, so I’m not gonna be completely gone. But most likely I won’t be making posts.
Till then, I’ll leave the blog and you guys in Saber’s care 😀
☑ Finish, and subsequently review Bamboo Blade
☑ At the same time, get around to finishing Revolutionary Girl Utena
☑ As well as Kannagi
☑ Tweak the site somehow (try out a new look maybe, or just re-arrange some stuff)
☑ Participate in YumeState’s Anime Watchers Club
It’s the 2nd of May! Boy time flies. Five out of thirteen done in so-so speed! I admit that I had a little trouble finishing Kannagi. There was just something about it that made it hard to jump into the next episode (forgive me Tsugumi). Still an extremely funny series though, and I wouldn’t mind going back to it for some laughs. Also, as you may have hopefully noticed, everything looks a little bit more neat and spiffy around Leap250’s Blog. I didn’t want to go for a drastic change just yet, but I think the simplicity of it all is pleasing in it’s own right. I’ve also cleaned up the pages, especially the “Articles“, and you’ll notice it’s less cluttered than it used to be. I’ll still be tinkering with the site come the next few days. YumeState has also finished its first series in the Anime Watcher’s Club which was Aoi Bungaku, and now we’re starting up another series for May, Ookami Kakushi (check out the details here)
